We found most of these routes extremely difficult. We are experienced road cyclists and we trained in the Canadian Rocky mountains. We did not expect to be off-road or on so many roads with loose gravel.
We enjoyed the stunning scenery of Tuscany. The accommodation was comfortable and hosts were gracious and accommodating. The local bike company was quick to respond & effectively resolve a problem we had with one of the bikes.

We loved it! It was a fantastic way to explore somewhere new. The app worked brilliantly, it was wonderful to have someone else do the thinking and planning regarding routes, we went off track at times to explore extra beaches etc, but the main route was wonderful. The accommodation and breakfasts were fantastic. We had a brilliant time exploring the beautiful landscapes, and as mentioned before, for us it was the perfect combination of physical challenge, beautiful scenery, exploring beaches, rest, relaxation and adventure. We were very sad when it finished and could have happily continued for another week. We are looking forward to our next cycle touring adventure and would happily book through S-Cape again.

We LOVED Poo de Llanes and Hotel El Camin. The city was a bit more lively, which was fun after cycling in rural areas. The hosts at the hotel were fantastic. We also LOVED Ana at Hotel don tomas, but Nueva de Llanes felt small after the fun of Llanes.

De route was prachtig! De accomodatie in Porthcothan Bay vonden we geweldig vanwege het contact met de eigenaresse en de avondmaaltijd die ze voor ons had gemaakt. De accomodatie in st Ives was prachtig!

Hotels were all amazing, breakfasts were delicious, and staff were lovely. The route on the last day was gorgeous but very exposed, the day we went on this route was very hot and there were very little places to rest in the shade. Could potentially have a note to do the shorter walk on hot exposed days.

We visited the beach at St Antolin which was slightly off route but one of our favourite beaches. Our favourite accommodation was la casona de Nueva and Quinta de Villanueva as slightly quieter locations but also particularly welcoming hosts. I was planning to email the s-cape team to thank you for the organisation of hotels and transfers which enabled our trip to run smoothly, which was particularly appreciated when travelling with young children. Many thanks.

For us the most memorable day was over the Puerto del Palo to Grandas de Salime. The views, descent and birdlife were all stunning. However it is difficult to pick one area when most of Asturias and Galicia is so lovely!
There was a particularly helpful receptionist at the Hotel Alda Bonaval in Santiago. She made sure the bikes and bags were put away safely for collection, and booked a taxi to take us to the airport for the next day. It was upsetting to see quarries in so many beautiful valleys.

Overall, this section of the Northern Route was pleasant and scenic. Particularly on days one and two, the scenery was very authentic with lush green landscapes, rolling hills, flowers of all colors, farms, rivers, etc.

The first day riding along the Via Verde Noreste was fantastic. The last day riding along the Rio Segura into Murcia was also fantastic.
Accommodation: Hotel Alumnia in Caravaca de la Cruz.
